Convening the World Energy Council’s remarkable 100-year-old global network alongside diverse communities from across the energy ecosystem, World Energy Week is a dynamic space to share actionable solutions that will enable faster, fairer and more far-reaching energy transitions.

We are thrilled to announce the host of World Energy Week 2025 as the Panama Member Committee

Panama, long seen as the connection between the global north and south, plays a key role in energy and energy-adjacent industries and will provide a vibrant backdrop for this convening of energy leaders from across the globe from 6-9 October 2025 under the theme 'Energising connections, powering a healthy planet'.

"World Energy Week is a key platform to address global energy challenges from a solutions-driven perspective," said Juan Manuel Urriola, National Energy Secretary of Panama. "By hosting this event in 2025, we reaffirm our commitment to driving sustainable energy development that benefits both Panama and the world."

“Convening and connecting visionary leaders across the world energy ecosystem for impactful conversations is essential in making energy transitions happen. Accelerating decarbonisation with justice and resilience is the best way to secure more energy for better lives and the health of the planet that we all call home,” said Dr Angela Wilkinson, Secretary General and CEO of the World Energy Council. “World Energy Week is an important platform for conversations and collaborations which leverage the diversity, flexibility and scalability of the Council’s global community network.”

“The confirmation of Panama as the World Energy Week 2025 host is a great opportunity for both our country, for the American continent, and especially for the LAC region," said Claudio Seebach, Executive Chairman of Generadoras de Chile, the business association of Chilean electricity generators, and the World Energy Council Vice Chair for Latin America and the Caribbean. "World Energy Week provides the opportunity to meet with representatives of the whole world energy community, share experiences and perspectives about energy transitions pathways, and exchange possible solutions as we accelerate a path forward. It truly is a must-attend event."
