Jun Kondo

Jun is a Senior Manager on the Insights team at the World Energy Council, where he is seconded from CHUBU Electric Power, a Japanese utility company, and concurrently works for both organisations. In his role at the World Energy Council, he provides valuable insights to the Council's global community, particularly from the perspective of the power grid sector—an area in which he has extensive expertise.

Previously, Jun worked in the DSO/DNO Department at CHUBU Electric Power Grid Company, where he focused on enhancing the resilience of the distribution system for nearly ten years. He was then assigned to CHUBU’s London office as a Senior Manager, specialising in research on energy policies, regulations, and technological trends across Europe.

Jun is currently based in London, UK. He holds a master’s degree in Electronic Physics and is fluent in both English and Japanese.
