Head of Government Relations

Shota Lemondzhava is the World Energy Council's Head of Government Relations. He is responsible for overseeing and strengthening government involvement in all aspects of the World Energy Council’s networks, work programmes and global events, leading government engagement activities around the world.

He is also responsible for the programme and content development and implementation of World Energy Council events.

Prior to joining the Council, Shota headed the Official Delegations Department at the Roscongress Foundation. He has an extensive experience in relationship management with delegations of heads of state, heads of international organisations and C-suite business leaders and expertise in the organisation of large international conferences with top government officials and business executives.

He holds degrees in Political Science and International Relations and speaks English, Georgian, Russian and Italian.
