Thamir Al-Shehri

Thamir Al-Shehri is Senior Manager of Insights at the Council. He is responsible for retooling the Council's Insights toolkit, specifically overseeing the Trilemma evolution and redesign process.

Thamir is a secondee from King Abdullah Petroleum Studies And Research Centre (KAPSARC), where he is a Research Fellow in the Climate and Sustainability Program. Thamir also acts as an advisor to the broader energy ecosystem in Saudi Arabia, particularly in the areas of clean energy transitions, sustainability, and carbon emissions management. He is a former member of the Technology and Economic Assessment Panel, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and has previously worked as a lecturer in Australia. He has entrepreneurial and industrial experience working on award-winning projects such as the Burj Khalifah Building Management System.
