Energy Trilemma and RMSA-E 2024: Security of Supply in Portugal

On Wednesday, 26 March 2025 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the LNEG, Alfragide.

In collaboration with the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG) and with the support of the National Laboratory of Energy and Geology (LNEG), APE is organising a seminar dedicated to the analysis of RMSA-E 2024, from the perspective of Trilema Energético

The Security of Supply Monitoring Report for the National Electricity System 2025-2040 assesses the needs of the National Electricity System in the medium and long term, from a security of supply perspective, taking into account the energy policy guidelines defined, presenting a set of measures adopted and to be adopted with a view to strengthening security of supply.

As energy security is one of the pillars of the Energy Trilemma, analysing the contribution of the RMSA-E is an opportunity to broadly debate this crucial aspect of its balance, which is completed by analysing the vectors of access to energy and environmental sustainability.

Key speakers:

  • Paulo Carmona
  • João Conceição
  • Pedro Carvalho

Moderated by: Ana Sousa, Secretary, World Energy Council Portugal
