Key Objectives

In anticipation of the 26th World Energy Congress 2024, The Future Energy Leaders of the Netherlands is proud to announce the upcoming "Road to Congress" event. This event serves a dual purpose: to align with and amplify the Congress's key themes, while also providing a platform for fostering intergenerational dialogues related to these themes. Our primary objectives include:

• Building Momentum: Create momentum around the central thematic topics leading to the Congress through meaningful intergenerational dialogues.
• Showcasing Pilot of Flagship Projects: Highlight and engage youth in Future Energy Leader Netherlands flagship projects
• Regional Awareness: Promote regional awareness about the World Energy Council's "Humanising Energy" agenda, contributing to a more sustainable energy future.
• Congress Promotion: Act as a platform to advertise and generate excitement about the forthcoming World Energy Congress.
• Network Expansion: Strengthen and expand the : Highlight and engage youth in Future Energy Leader Netherlands network and community, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.

About Future Energy Leaders of the Netherlands:

The Future Energy Leaders Program of the Netherlands was officially launched at the Wind Meets Gas Symposium on October 13, 2023. Our mission is to create a platform that empowers youths to contribute to the energy landscape via intergenerational dialogue. We are dedicated to achieving our mission through a combination of outreach initiatives, impactful projects, and thought leadership. Our primary commitment is to elevate the global discourse on energy and to advocate for the World Energy Council's visionary concept of 'Humanising Energy Vision' in pursuit of a sustainable future.

In close collaboration with the national committees of the World Energy Council in the Netherlands, our national Future Energy Leaders programme is focused on enhancing the collective global conversation about energy. We aspire to bring the voices of the youth to the forefront in the very spaces where energy leaders convene to shape the future of the energy landscape collaboratively.
