A turning point in the energy sector – On the way to the “new normal”?

The Russia-Ukraine war represents a turning point - not only for the energy world of Europe. Partnerships that had grown over decades and parameters that were believed to be safe became obsolete almost overnight. Questions of security of supply move into the focus of the energy transition discussion as well as the affordability of energy and the balance between the dimensions of the energy policy target triangle. Against the background of the dramatic upheavals in the energy world, we would like to discuss current geopolitical developments and new political approaches with decision-makers from all over the world and our international audience, present international models of energy supply and bring the global perspective into the national debate. What could the "New Normal" look like? What options do we have? Where are the limits? What will the energy world look like in 5 to 10 years?

Confirmed Participants include Patrick Graichen , State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK), Jennifer Morgan , State Secretary and Special Representative for International Climate Policy at the Federal Foreign Office and Dr. Angela Wilkinson , Secretary General & CEO, World Energy Council (WEC).

The Energy Day offers high-ranking experts a forum to discuss current national and international issues of the energy transition in panel discussions and debates. We look forward to exciting and informative discussions with our top-class guests and you!
