With President Lula present, Alexandre Silveira celebrates the approval of the National Energy Transition Policy at the CNPE

The PNTE will promote the integration and coordination of Federal Government actions for the energy transition, with the potential to attract R$ 2 trillion in investments. The National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) approved, on Monday (August 26), the National Energy Transition Policy (PNTE). The meeting was led by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who attended the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) for the third consecutive time, and by the Minister of the Ministry, Alexandre Silveira, who chairs the Council. 16 other state ministers and representatives from civil society and educational institutions who are part of the council were also partaking.

Luiz Carlos Chiocchi, Strategic Director of the Brazilian Member Committee participated in the Launch of the National Energy Transition Policy hosted by the Ministry of Mines and Energy.

He addressed the importance of what can the world learn from Brazil- so far ahead of renewables at scale, biofuels, the frontline of climate adaptation crisis and wI am looking to position us as partners to COP, G20 and the convenors of power for good (congress). Would appreciate gathering strategic intelligence on Brazil’s global energy leadership ambitions. For example: what can the world learn from Brazil- so far ahead of renewables at scale, biofuels, the frontline of climate adaptation crisis.
