Latin America’s main aggregated and interconnected sectors - such as transport, manufacturing and agriculture - are the main contributors to the region’s greenhouse gas emissions. The decarbonisation of the electricity sector in these interconnected sectors is a starting point in finding a viable solution to generating clean energy and supporting further deployment of renewables. What can be the best way forward for Latin America’s energy sector to meet carbon neutrality targets by 2050?
