World Energy Issues Monitor: Dr Angela Wilkinson Interview with BBC World Business Report

Dr Angela Wilkinson, Secretary General and CEO of the World Energy Council, was interviewed by Lukwesa Burak on BBC World Business Report on Wednesday to speak about the Council's recently released 2024 World Energy Issues Monitor.

Speaking about how the Monitor revealed "there's no such thing as an easy or straightforward path to the future," Dr Wilkinson added that the growing turbulence of shifting geopolitics was keeping energy leaders awake at night, and that three action priorities - transmission grid expansions, stakeholder engagementsm, and the different prioritisation of climate adaptation across different regions - were keeping them busy during the day.
