President Putin to attend 23rd World Energy Congress

President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, will visit Turkey to attend the 23rd World Energy Congress which will be held in Istanbul between 9 and 13 October.  This congress is very important as Turkey and Russia look at how best to progress the Turkish Stream project.
 
Mr Berat Albayrak, Turkish Minister for Energy and Natural Resources, commented:
 
My personal view is that we will cover a lot of ground for the Turkish Stream project during this congress next week.”
 
The Congress will also witness exchanges among policymakers of several countries central to the energy game. Along with Khalid El-Falih, the Energy Minister of Saudi Arabia, Alexander Novak, the Energy Minister of Russia and Maros Šefcovič, the European Commission’s Vice-President for Energy Union will also be present. Media can register for the Congress here: https://secure.eventmagix.com/2016_wec_media/
