Building on our previous studies around Europes’ opportunities to successfully progress its energy transition path, the World Energy Council Netherlands will launch a report: Hydrogen – industry as catalyst, accelerating decarbonisation of our economy to 2030’.

The transformation of energy systems is one of the biggest challenges facing industries globally. Energy systems need to be rapidly decarbonised with renewables covering a much larger share of the primary energy consumption. In the latest report, we look at hydrogen applications and usage. It explains why it is important to develop the hydrogen economy with industry as a catalyst. The report also looks at the possible pathways to make it more cost efficient and widely adopted, especially in north-west Europe.

The conference will once again provide a forum for sharing ideas, presentation of research, and discussions on industry topics. We are developing a program of inspirational European speakers and breakout sessions and will announce details in due course.

Date: 12 February 2019, 13:00–19.00 hours
