The World Energy Council remembers Pablo Mulás Del Pozo

THE WORLD ENERGY COUNCIL REMEMBERS PABLO MULÁS DEL POZO

It is with great sadness we have heard the news of the death of Pablo Mulás del Pozo, Secretary of the Mexican Member Committee.

Pablo was a champion of the Mexican energy industry, deeply knowledgeable about international energy activities and he a was highly valued contributor to the World Energy Council's global agenda.

Pablo founded the Mexican Member Committee of the World Energy Council in 2003 and has been a driving force throughout his time as its Secretary. His ideas were both pragmatic and visionary, helping to shape the Council’s development, often in challenging times.

Our respect and deepest sympathies go out to Pablo’s family, friends and our Mexican Member Committee.

We also extend our thoughts to others in our worldwide member community who have, and are, experiencing tragedy and loss at the current time.

A message from José Antonio Vargas Lleras, Chair of the Council's Programme Committee, Chairman of the Colombian Member Committee and friend of Pablo:

"I have received with deep sadness the news about the death of our colleague and friend Pablo Mulás. His departure leaves a huge void that will be very difficult to fill. First of all for the World Energy Council, for its Mexican Committee and for the Councils region of North America. His vision, his dreams, his projects, everything revolved around energy. Sufficient and sustainable energy at the service of the development of our countries but above all at the service of our people and of humanity.

"Mexico has also lost a national and international benchmark in its energy sector. With deep knowledge of the industry and with great intellectual honesty, Pablo always raised his voice when he considered that the course of public energy policy in his country should be corrected.

"But we, his friends will be the ones finding it hardest to recover from his loss. We are going to miss his intelligence, his ideas and also his occurrences that are not the same, his humour to the test of everything, his affection and his endearing smile. What a great human being, what a great “cuate” that you were dear Pablo."

EL CONSEJO MUNDIAL DE ENERGÍA RECUERDA A PABLO MULÁS DEL POZO

Es con gran tristeza que hemos recibido las noticias del fallecimiento de Pablo Mulás del Pozo, secretario de nuestro Comité Nacional en México.

Pablo era un líder del sector energético mexicano, un gran conocedor de la industria energética a nivel internacional y sobre todo una persona que contribuyo enormemente al Consejo Mundial de Energía.

Pablo fundo el comité Mexicano del Consejo Mundial de Energía en 2003 y fue la fuerza que lo guio durante su tiempo como secretario. Sus ideas eran pragmáticas y visionarias y ayudaron a guiar al Consejo en momentos difíciles.

Nuestros pensamientos y más profundas simpatías están con su familia, amigos y con nuestro comité mexicano.

También extendemos nuestros pensamientos a otros en nuestra comunidad global de miembros que han o están viviendo una tragedia o pérdida en estos tiempos.

Un mensaje de José Antonio Vargas Lleras, Presidente del Comité de Programa del Consejo, Presidente del Comité Colombiano del Consejo y un querido amigo de Pablo:

"He recibido con profunda tristeza la noticia sobre el fallecimiento de nuestro colega y amigo Pablo Mulas. Su partida deja un enorme vacío que será muy difícil de llenar. En primer lugar para el Consejo Mundial de Energía, para su Comité Mexicano y para la región WEC de Norteamérica. Su visión, sus sueños, sus proyectos, todo giraba alrededor de la energía. Una energia suficiente y sostenible al servicio del desarrollo de nuestros países pero sobretodo de nuestra gente, al servicio de la humanidad.

"También ha perdido Mexico un referente nacional e internacional de su sector energético. Con conocimiento profundo de la industria y con gran honestidad intelectual Pablo alzó siempre su voz cuando estimó que se debía corregir el rumbo de la política pública energética de su país.

"Pero somos sus amigos a los que nos costará más reponernos. Vamos a extrañar su inteligencia, sus ideas y también sus ocurrencias que no es lo mismo, su humor a prueba de todo, su cariño y su entrañable sonrisa. Qué gran ser humano, que gran cuate que fuiste querido Pablo."
