The Organising Committee of the 2013 World Energy Congress is delighted to announce that the Prime Minister of Korea, Mr Chung Hong-won, has agreed to bring his leadership and support to the Congress by joining as Honorary Chairman of the Organising Committee.

Mr Chung comments: “As the 22nd World Energy Congress is the most prestigious international energy congress being held in Korea after the formulation of new Korean government, the government will provide maximum support and cooperation”.

The Korean government has been firmly supportive of the World Energy Congress since Daegu was granted the status as the host city. The latest backing from Mr Chung builds on the Korean government’s commitment for the Congress.
