World Energy Council welcomes CESI as Global Partner

CESI is a global provider of testing, power systems engineering and consulting services throughout the energy value chain.  It has projects in 40 countries and premises in Milan, Berlin, Mannheim, Rio de Janeiro and Dubai.  CESI joins the WEC’s community of Global Partners with the ambition to further expand their businesses into new regions of the world.

Established in 1999, the WEC’s Global Partners programme provides innovative energy and energy-related companies with immediate global visibility by connecting them to the WEC’s more than 90 national committees, encompassing over 3000 member organisations from public and private sectors. CEOs from the WEC’s Global Partners are also invited to attend the WEC’s World Energy Congress and World Energy Leaders’ Summits.

Mr Codazzi will today join about 80 other leaders of the global energy sector gathering at the World Energy Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi. The event brings together a community of chief executives, ministers, and the finance community to discuss the pressing issues facing the energy world.

On 8 February, Mr Codazzi will give a speech on renewable energy sources at the 5th India Energy Congress, also in New Delhi.  The Congress is being held under the patronage of the Ministry of Power of the Government of India, with the theme “Securing Tomorrow’s Energy Today: Policy and Regulations”.  Mr Codazzi’s speech will focus on the key learning drawn from CESI’s global experience in designing transmission lines, HVDC links, distribution automation and digital meters solutions, power markets and systems, regulation policies and integrated renewable energy solutions.

Mr Codazzi continued: “We are passionate about our business and we see it more as a mission: to help electrify the 1.3 billion people in the world who still lack the infrastructure for adequate access to electricity – a key driver of economic development, wellness and prosperity.” 

CESI is a member of the WEC’s committees in Germany and Brazil, in addition to the committee in Italy, where CESI has been a long-time member.  CESI’s Senior Corporate Advisor, Alessandro Clerici, has a long history with the WEC where he is an Honorary Chairman of the WEC’s Italian Committee and Chairman of the WEC study “World Energy Resources and Technologies”.

The WEC’s other Global Partners include: Black and Veatch, BNL Clean Energy, Daesung Group, Duke Energy Corporation, Eesti Energia, E.ON, Ernst & Young, Fluor Enterprises, KazEnergy Association, Repsol YPF, and Vestas Wind Systems.  WEC Global Partners support the WEC’s event programme but have no influence over the WEC’s strategy and studies.
