Carolina Parra

Carolina Parra holds a Master's degree in Energy and Fuels for the Future from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), Spain. She has a Diploma in Electromobility from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH) and participated in an exchange program at York University's Faculty of Environmental Studies in Toronto, Canada. She earned dual Bachelor's degrees in Environmental Chemical Engineering and Environmental Sciences from the Universidad de Tarapacá (UTA), Chile.

During her tenure at the Sustainable Energy Initiative (SEI) at YorkU, she was the Creative Director of the International Renewable Energy Academy (IREA). Her published work includes end-of-life management for photovoltaic solar panels and green hydrogen production using offshore wind energy. She has experience in the freight transport sector, having worked at the Energy Sustainability Agency of the Chilean Ministry of Energy, where she authored numerous publications on energy efficiency in this field.

Currently, Carolina is part of the WiGH Program from Women in Green Hydrogen and is the Project Manager in the New Energy Business at Fundación Chile, a key public-private organization dedicated to driving Chile's transformation towards sustainable development.
