Chadia Abreu Manon is an attorney and energy specialist with over ten years of experience in best practices of clean energy transitions, market development, and investment in infrastructure projects in the Dominican Republic, Argentina, and the United States of America. She held the position of Senior Renewable Energy Analyst in the Energy Division of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and also served as the Legal Coordinator of Renewable Projects at the Dominican Corporation of State Electric Companies (CDEEE). She is currently an Advisor for Clean Energy and Climate Solutions for the Ministry of Energy and Mines of the Dominican Republic where she leads several initiatives aligned with the country’s agenda for sustainable development and the insertion of emerging technologies and policies that will allow the country to accelerate its just energy transition. She is licensed to practice in the state of California and the Dominican Republic.
She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of California, Berkeley, where as a Fulbright scholar she specialized in Clean Energy and Technology as well as Environmental Law and Policy. She also holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Energy from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and certifications in Energy Innovation and Climate Change from Stanford University and Harvard Kennedy School (HKS).
