Circular Economy Scientist - Renewable Fuels, Repsol
Industrial process engineer with +7 years of experience in the energy sector. Since his university education, he has been directly related to this sector, and nowadays holds a position as a circular economy scientist within the field of renewable fuels, focusing on the valorization of waste into new energy sources.
Eduardo has a strong technical background which is complemented by a supportive leadership style. He is a firm supporter of learning by doing, having developed a hands-on approach for problem resolution. Besides, fast-paced decision-making has been enhanced due to the frequently unexpected situations occurring at the industrial plant.
Among his most relevant achievements, Eduardo has carried out several continuous improvement projects, from process optimization to waste reduction utilizing advanced analytics. Nowadays, he leads R&D projects related to the shift of fossil feedstocks in favour of renewable ones, including strategic negotiation and technical project development.
Besides his position, he has been appointed 2023 Congress Future Energy Leader by The World Energy Council and actively collaborated with the programme. Moreover, he is an adjunct professor of the Waste to Resources course at IE University.
