Emily has a MSc in Risk & Safety Management and has several years’ experience working for an engineering risk management consultancy in the UK. Her experience in the UK was predominantly in the renewable energy industry with a focus on onshore & offshore wind and green hydrogen production. Emily moved to NZ and joined Hiringa Energy in February 2020 as Senior Risk and Safety Engineer and was promoted to HSEQ Manager in October 2021. Emily is responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of all Hiringa’s projects across NZ, overseeing all risk management activities from project concept through to operation. Emily has participated as an industry expert in numerous settings while representing Hiringa Energy, including liaising closely with the NZ government on development of regulatory controls for green hydrogen.
