Federico has over 5 years of experience in the field of energy and sustainability; focused on energy transition, climate change and the 2030 Agenda. In addition to his degree in economics, a master's degree in economics and development, as well as studies in demography, environmental sciences and climate change, give him a multidimensional approach to energy.Federico currently works as an environmental-economic advisor to the National Directorate of Energy of Uruguay, developing initiatives that pursue sustainable development goals, tending to a transition to zero net carbon emissions on the long-term horizon. He participated in the development of the Long-Term Climate Strategy, presented at COP 26, is currently coordinating the National Plan forAdaptation to Climate Change for the energy sector and is part of the team who is developing energy commitments of the second Nationally Determined Contributions at the Paris Agreement.Previously, Federico worked at Office of the Planning and Budget Office as UNDP consultant, developing the National Development Strategy Uruguay 2050, including a study of "Present and future of renewable energies in Uruguay", through a long-term prospective study.
