Naimat Chopra

Naimat Chopra completed her master’s degree in social policy and data analytics from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to UPenn, she worked as a Strategy Consultant at Deloitte India, where her role focused on conducting impact assessments of government programs related to environmental projects and recommending relevant institutional reforms. She also has experience working with thinks tanks and conducting policy analysis to provide evidence-based recommendations to Indian ministries. Naimat was 1 of the 3 students from the University to be selected for a fully funded energy research- Kleinman Center’s Energia Fellow. In this role, she worked with an international development organization in Netherlands, developing a comprehensive rubric for reviewing gender commitments in energy access across 149 UN Energy compacts by different stakeholders. The findings, which were published in the UN Energy Annual Progress Report 2022, have directly contributed to making the reporting on the energy compacts more gender sensitive. Naimat also has an undergraduate degree in Economics and an MBA in International Business. She is interested in studying global energy policies and its impact on social development, equity, and justice.
