Tarun Jindal developed an early interest in innovations in renewable energy and interdisciplinary studies as he grew up in a developing nation, working towards achieving self-energy reliance. In 2014, he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from YMCAUST and further in 2016, a post-graduate degree in Energy Studies from IIT-Delhi. As engineering passionate, he joined ISRO and worked in the System Reliability Group undertaking reliability checks of the various components of PSLV and GSLV flights.
With strong analytical qualities coupled with scientific intellect, Tarun envisioned to develop economical and efficient energy devices ensuring energy justice for the masses. Currently, working as a Sr. Research Officer in Asia Pacific’s finest R&D Center at IndianOil, he is a part of the team pioneering the hydrogen and fuel cell research. With the aim of scaling solutions from lab to field, Tarun is curating the framework of the hydrogen ecosystem thus enabling the decentralized production of energy through fuel cells. Tarun embarks on the vision to democratize energy through the levers of indigenization, localization and customization.
