Tomás Goldstein
Leader, Government Affairs, Equinor
Tomás Goldstein is a Government Relations and Public Affairs Leader at Equinor since 2022. Prior to that, he worked for multiple international organisations, including the European Commission, the United Nations, and the European Parliament. Based in Brussels since 2015, Tomás has always been involved in the intersection between policy, politics and communication.
His focus on energy policy started at the European Commission in 2019, in particular when he joined the Commission’s Joint Research Centre. He worked as a liaison officer tasked with delivering evidence-based policymaking: this meant translating scientific evidence into policy proposals to deliver on the EU’s political priorities and work programme related to the European Green Deal. His years at the European Commission and Parliament allowed him to gain invaluable knowledge on the EU’s policymaking processes and he learned how to navigate the complex institutional system.
This has led him to the Norway-based international energy giant, Equinor, where he is responsible for managing relations with EU stakeholders – institutions, industry associations, peers, and other actors. Tomás has been participating in energy policy discussions in Brussels, Paris, Berlin, London, and Oslo.
